Acting Teacher and Coach
Nancy Friedman brings over ten years of experience as an actor and seven years of teaching acting to adults, teens, and children in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Chicago. Her background includes teaching experience at the Los Angeles Community College and The Playground Conservatory.
Nancy was fortunate to learn directly from acting teachers who studied at the feet of great masters such as Uta Hagen and Stella Adler. She also studied with those who were Meisner trained and one who attended the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Some of these teachers are Carey Scott, Jack Banning, and Terry Ross.
In addition to her experience as an actor, Nancy has directed ten narrative short films and has worked as a casting director for independent features and shorts – a scope of experience that enhances her teaching and brings her students know-how from both sides of the camera.
She is also a two-time Hollywood Foreign Press Award recipient and a member of the Alliance of the Women Directors.
