Acting Classes

Nancy’s core curriculum is built around four-to-twelve-week scene study classes held for actors (of all levels) throughout the year. Highlights of these classes include students working together to learn how to:

• Break down a scene from film or television
• Move through emotional blocks
• Understand subtext
• Develop imagination and creativity
• Access deep emotions and vulnerability
• Create authentic, believable characters
• Listen & react in the moment
• Train for auditions

Class activities also include:

• Exploration of time-tested acting techniques
  (with a focus on character development and script breakdown)
• Warm-up improv exercises
• Homework that involves memorization and character development
• The use of camera throughout the class to provide constructive feedback
